ATTENTION ATTENTION! i am a new proud owner of a 2002 Protege 5! i love this car it is so great. the handling the strut bar...... ah and oh the 5 speed! I cant wait till i start modding my baby! my best friend bought a Pro5 too and he showed me this site, and it makes me so glad that i can be a part of something grand and special. Just a question if anybody knows... Are there any computers out for it or are there plans to make one? i hope so i want to go N/A. I just love the car and i understand the buzz about it now!

Adam - there is an aftermarket computer chip available. I have been researching this lately myself and discovered that JET can re-program the stock chip. Upside is they claim 13 - 15 pony increase, but downside is that the stock unit needs to be removed and sent to them to be reprogrammed. Jet is in Huntington Beach, CA and is onlline at jetchip.com.

about me

well, i am 21 i live in Illinios (near Great America) my Pro5 is black with the alloy wheels not the chrome wheels. i plan to make my pro5 into one hot civic/neon/accord killer! and maybe maybe if my budget suits me i will kill preludes... not likely! they may be able to out accel me, but when it comes to whipping right around a corner they wish they would think twice.

at first i am going to tint my windows. then i want the ingen CAI, (my friend has it its awesome). then i want to do exhaust, a computer and if there are some, new injectors and intake and exhust cams. then hopefully one day i will be able to have those beautiful Einkei whites...... *sigh. i also would like to get higher compressinon pistons, throttle body... the list can go on i'm sure. but that is for starters. i dont want the Pro5 to be overly powerful because i dont want it to take away from the handling capabilities. Power to weight friends, power to weight!
