Assuming you are not able to contact the seller, you have to send us the AccessPORT and we un-marry it. However, Cobb will charge you for the license ($395) since the old one is still out there making another car super fast. (rofl2)

Ya know this strikes a cord with me. When I traded my stage 2 STi in I didn't want to unmarry the AP because of the impending CEL (due to the aftermarket DP). The last thing I wanted is a CEL on when they were appraising it.

I called Cobb and explained my situation and they explained the same thing that they would charge an exorbitant fee to unmarry it- making it about as useful as a paperweight to me. I wish they made exceptions, especially if I have verifiable proof I wasn't trying to rip them off in any way.

I wonder if I can use it in the AP trade-up program when AP is released for the MS3. I'm not holding my breath though.
