The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Dang that's terrible! I would probably freak out if someone backed into my car lol.

On a good note, I just met with my new landlord and gave him the signed lease! We're moving this Sunday!!!! The place we looked at yesterday was absolutely perfect. Brand new tile floors, new carpet, new dishwasher...basically looks brand new. The best part about these townhouses...No Pets and No Smoking! Plus it has an attached 1-car garage with direct entry to the townhouse. So glad the search didn't take weeks.

Congrats! Sounds like a good deal!

Thanks! I sometimes believe that things happen for a reason. This place is WAY better than the other place and it's in Wadsworth. Much safer/nicer area than the apartment I was supposed to move into last weekend in Northwest Akron.

I'll post this here, see if someone has some insight:

The drain for my tub, kitchen sink and bathroom sink were working fine. All of a sudden the tub and kitchen took a while to drain, so I thought they were clogged. I used drano and it seemed to help a bit, the tub was fine but the kitchen sink as still a bit slow to drain, bathroom sink was always fine. Fast forward 1 week and now the tub and kitchen are fine, but last night the bathroom sink takes forever to drain, out of the blue.

Any idea what's going on? Nothing goes through it expect water and some facial hair when I shave (maybe twice a week). It was working fine till Monday.

It's called Big Sky Ridge. It's a 2 bed 1.5 bath townhouse with 2 floors. The spare bedroom is pretty large and the master bedroom is huge. The family room has a nice vaulted ceiling too. Comes with full sized washer/dryer, all kitchen appliances, private entrance, attached 1-car garage (with direct entry to the townhouse), and a patio (YAY I can have a grill). The rent is $895/month, which is only $30 more than the crappy apartment I was supposed to move into last Saturday. My girlfriend and I are splitting the rent so I only have to pay for half luckily. I also asked my landlord and I'm allowed to work on my car in the garage, as long as I'm not using an angle grinder at 11pm LOL.

When I was talking with you and Amber. Detail kid backed into it with an Econoline. I'm just completely frustrated by it all right right now.
Damn that sucks, sorry man.

Snake living in your pipes.

Trust me, I'm a home owner

There is probably a Y connector that is plugged or is starting to be plugged and if you have a apt like I do the drain lines connect to the apts across from mine (back to back bath rooms) and then ou'll have to deal with their crap water too. Probably will need to be snaked.

So Melissa's grandmother is a b****. She fell on our front porch (she falls all the damn time) a couple of months ago and now we're getting calls from all kinds of people (including my homeowners insurance) saying that we have to pay her medical bills. We never even knew she went to the hospital and for what you might ask? She bruised her leg and so she had them take x-rays.... are you freakin kidding me? I'm not paying that...

Sorry but I had to vent.

If you end up paying, you need to put up a sign for No Trespassing, and send her a nice letter she is no longer allowed on your property. If she shows up to Thanksgiving, and hurts herself at that point she is screwed. The precedent is there that she is not welcome on your property.

Get me the details as I have a good friend who is partner in a local lawfirm here that can give yuo advice on how to proceed. So PM me the details via PM and he can tell you what to do. BTW, who is your insurance company?

State farm. Melissa just talked to our agent and she’s not having any of it, haha. She literally told them to shove it and to go after Melissa's grandparents because we're never going to pay a dime! LMAO

If it escalates I'll get in touch Marlon. Thanks for the offer.

As far as family events, that’s not going to happen... I'm sick of them trying to start stuff with everyone. I'll have to find a discrete no trespassing sign just to cover my ass I guess.

BTW, does anyone know where I can get a somewhat larger Mazdaspeed decal for my valve cover?

I'd go as far as to tell her flat to her face she is not welcome at your place. I've said it to a few of Amber's family already (luckily they are in Texas, but odd enough to just show up unannounced). I don't care for drama with family, and won't have it at my place.
