Hey guys, those of you who know the subaru community might know who rally armor is. I sent them an e-mail regarding mudflaps and other products they produce, to see if they would be interested in making some for the MS3 community. Here is what i sent them and their response
Hi Jeffrey Thank you very much for your inquiry and support. We would be definitely interested in creating a Mazda 3 specificapplication. We are currently releasing the new 08 STI as well as the EVO X, and this mayalso be a good fit for our protective type of product. Would you happen tobe located in the NYC area? We can work with a local member on this projectif there is enough interest. Thanks muchTeam R/A*

Im contacting you to see if you had plans, or could develope for other cars.Im from the mazda community and being an owner of a Mazdaspeed 3, i wish tofind out about developing mudflaps due to the fact of no factory supportwhen it comes to them. I have been a part of the subaru community and knowyour products are talked about highly amoung them. Thank you for your time, and I hope to be in contact. -Jeff

These could also work for you autocross guys who usually tape up the areas behind the fender wells to stop from rock chips.

Those of you interested in some mudflaps by them please put your name down to see how much interest we have. Also if we have a NYC local member for them to develope these off of that would be sweet so let me know

I would be interested; I fit the BMW OEM mudflaps to my E36 3er and they don't look gawky or out of place at all. I'd like something similar for my MS3.

add me to the list but they have to look like a factory option.

Also may want to clarify with them that mazda 3 and mazdaspeed 3 are different.

Mudflaps always scrape on speed bumps and then look like ass. They can definitely save your paint if you drive through crappy stuff (mud, rocks, etc.).

Flaps

Was going to make my own set...but if someone else already has them and they look decent and don't require drilling or extreme modification, then I'd be in.

Regards,
Bryan T.

I want the molded type that fits to the body like they sell for the MAZDA MX-5 Miata. Two guys at work have 07 Miatas and baught the molded mud flaps that are painted to match the body and they are real nice. They come right from the MAzda parts department. But of coarse they do not make them for this friggin MS3!!!!!!!! :(

I am near NYC if they need a fit car. I don't do much durring the day as long as they don't want to keep my car I'm game .

I just bought the sparco mudflap for $40 and it works fine for the MSP. Whats the price of these flaps?

Skidpad would be sweet though.

EDIT: HOLY s*** just saw the pricing on the mud flaps.....................

Flaps

OP, what material would rally-armor use for the flaps and did they give an estimated price?

Rally-Ninja, Where'd youget your mudflaps and what are they made of (flexible urethane, etc.)... Were they pre-drilled and contained all the appropriate hardware or was it a custom job? Do you have pics of your flaps installed?

Regards,
Bryan T

I'd be interested if there's a Yosemite Sam option. These might just be the item to really make my truck nutz pop.

not really my style, but if they needed a test car to fit them to I could stop in there, i go to NYC quite often

I bought it at a sparco authorized dealer....You could also go to sparcos site to buy em. Its a universal fit deal. No pre drilled holes or anything.

I'm not sure what material it is. it is flexible plasticy material whatever it is. Looks like it could take a beating.

Need to get pics =)

I am more interested in a good skid plate. I will let them test fit mudflaps if they like as long as they dont drill unnecessary holes in my car.

In a heartbeat please!! Winter in Montana sucks! They only use gravel on the roads for snow/ice control. Please move forward with these as I desperately need a solution.
