System Pictures

It looks great Lee.

Did you guys give up on mounting the subs in the rear deck?
Also did Ken reuse the factory carpet around the wheel wells?

Look nice! I'm not a big Audio person, but it looks nice and clean.

Off topic, to 1st: YOU SUCK! When did you get an STi?? And when can I ride in it?

Hey 1st MP3 in NH,

He decided to make a traditional trunk with a fiberglass tub.

The side trunk panels were taken out, and then built out to accommodate the xovers and cap. Then re-carpeted. The whole trunk can be de-assembled pretty easily.

We just put in the processor last week. So I'm waiting to tweak the whole system in February. Maybe compete in a few slap shows next year.

Only major problem was that when he created the trunk and the glass tub, air couldn't excape the trunk into the cabin.

I had him vent the enclosure in the trunk and in a few weeks he's going to re-build the back deck, creating a large port (with a grill) that will let some air in.

Next goal is to get rid of all the rattles:(

How's tweeter going for you. I moved over to Converse in North Andover, MA.

Z6's

The Z6's are great. They will sound even better when the alpine processor is installed completely.

I like the amount of midbass that they give out.

Plus they are very clear and detailed.

And a technological marvel in the speaker world (heard that from the Tweeter guys)!

I have some ambient tweeter's in the a-pillars to bring the sound stage up to ear level.

Wonder what the new JL ZR series will sound like.

1st MP3 in NH: How do you like the STI, pretty noisy, are you going to dynamat the entire cabin? I've been looking at them for the past few months. Test drove one in Somerville. Going to wait for the '05, hope it has a ski pass.

I check out this site quite often:

When were they suppoesed to be revealing the ZR's?
I know Boston was supposed to have the new pros out at CES.

I am not going to dynamat or really stereo out the STI. I want to get a single sub, maybe a 10" eclipse and an amp for the sub and the fronts, and nothing else.

nice setup:) you've got WAY too much money;)

as far as subs on the rear deck go, i'm thinking about putting an 8 in each side by the rear pillar:) i'll have to see if they get in the way, though.

"nice setup you've got WAY too much money"

The secret is to work in car audio for a year and use your discount to the fullest!

I have a half hour commute and go on alot of road trips. A great audio/video system makes me look foward to driving.

yup too much money but nice set up. get a clifford now so no1 will rob u.

does it really light up like that? the green? looks VERY nice ;)

yeah, i might bite the bullet and work at the only shop in my home town that carries JL and mmats for the discount:D too bad the owner is a prick, and doesn't like me too much, since i've shown up so many of his systems with under half as much invested:p but at least he knows that i know my s*** and has offered me a job several times;)

Alarm

"yup too much money but nice set up. get a clifford now so no1 will rob u."

Alarm is the first item I installed. I don't post any info about it because I've seen too many people put the brand and model number, then they are suprised that someone stole their system.

I worked in car audio for a year and learned a ton about the gear and proper installs. I was a former hack (DIY) who learned how a real install was supposed to be done.

Plus the discount helps.

Now I have an expensive hobby!
