Okay.. I know I am going to get flamed for this because there are a million to one threads on this but Im going to ask anyways..

I've never modified the suspension of a car before.. So, the Fiance wants to lower her car, now I don't even know which was I want to go with this.. Ive had friends lower there cars before and they look extremely bouncy afterwards but it handles like its on rails.. Now The Mazda Protege ('02 DX) handles great already.. Mazda builds there cars very well, but she doesn't like how high it rides.. So.. Ive seen some threads mentioned in here something Spoolin Springs?? Im not sure.. Can anyone tell me how much these run.. Anyone have any pics of an '02 DX lowered with these springs??

Basically any pics and or prices you can include would be best.. Also What would be the DISADVANTAGE of going with coil overs if any??

Well, you have Spool, Tein, Eibach, H&R, just to name a few. Those are all springs alone and they will give you a decent drop compared to the stock height. Disadvantage is that the ride will become stiffer and other women may become more attracted to your DX. :) But, seriously you will really love the drop once you decide to get one. The next thing to do after a drop would be to upgrade to some better wheels.

if you dont want a much stiffer ride, go for eibachs. very very good springs.

but remember, the only reason your friends rides were bouncy is because their shocks werent matched correctly to the springs.

unless you want to make your car 3" lower 1 day and oem height the next, dont worry with coilovers, you're wasting your money
