Stupid Question

:
Mazda CX-9 2019
I am challenged by all the new technology and I have a stupid question: My CX-9 used to give alert beeps when I got too close to a curb/wall—such as when using the ATM at the bank. I am not sure if I accidentally turned it off, or if perhaps a cable was left unconnected when I had my mirrors serviced last Spring (folding mirrors were not working). I don’t want to sound like an idiot if I go back to the dealer…

Thanks!

The park assist seems to be working when approaching an object, but I could have sworn there was another sensor that alerted you after you were already alongside an object—such as a wall or a curb?

Depending on the angle of the vehicle to the wall, the parking sensors may or may not go off. When in line at the McDonalds drive thru (don’t judge me, I have an 8 yr old :P ), the sensors go off sometimes, not consistently. If you’re perfectly parallel, they probably won’t go off.
