Thinking about getting rid of the girly stock "snowflake" rims. Would prefer new rims that are lighter than stock. Hoping someone would know the weight of just the rims without tires.

I believe they are 19-22lbs... this was the only somewhat decent source for that:

If you sell those snowflake wheels, please PM me as I will eventually be looking for another set of stock wheels for auto-x purposes. I'm not about to spend $550 per WHEEL for lightweight 17x6.5s to stay in stock class any time soon.

I'm actually going to sell my stock MZ5 17x6.5 wheels in the next few weeks if you're interested...

If you could take a bare rim to a UPS store just to get the weight of it that would be excellent to finally know what they weigh... however I am honestly heavily leaning towards running in the STF class next year which would all 7.5" wide wheels in any diameter.... also I'd be able to run street tires(no need to change wheels when I arrive at the event like I'd have to with R-comps), change the motor mounts, get a short throw shifter, and most importantly get some camber plates to make the front end bite harder and wear the tires more evenly rather than the outside corner.

Also I have done a lot of research on finding a lighter 17x6.5" wheels and found that the Honda CR-Z hybrid is available with optional 17x6.5 wheels which from what I have gathered weigh around 17lbs(not bad for an OEM 17" wheel). They have the same bolt pattern, but the hub is smaller and the offset is just barely outside of the legal limit... so something like 2mm needs shaved from the wheel mounting surface, and the hub bore needs opened up to whatever the MZ3 hub size is. This would be the wheel to have for a Mazda3 in H-stock without spending $3000 for a set of Kodiak wheels.

I know someone weighed the OE 5-spoke 17's from an '04-'09 car using a veterinary scale. They weighed in @ 19.6 lbs. I wouldn't think they have changed that much. I question the 22.1 lbs listed above?
I know the MS3 wheels are a lot heavier... on the order of 24 lbs each.
