Special Mazda Protege/323s Around The World

I went cruising out on the old Information Superhighway tonight in high gear and visited a number of the MAZDA websites in other countries...a number of them (Germany for one) sell a 323 model in the Mica Blue (paint code 24a) with the MP3 body kit but not the Racing Beat and other add-ons.

Australia is getting 250 of "Mazda 323 Protege Sports Edition" which is the spitting image of our American Protege MP3 except for the lack of mods and the fact that it comes with 16 inch alloys. The picture of the interior of the rank and file 323 Protege show it with the Momo back and silver steering wheel.

Many of the websites seem to only show the hatch/P5 version in any detail (even though they have a small picture of the sedan somewhere in the site).

Notice the headlights...I wonder if those are the Xenon gas discharge projector beam lights that Japan has as an option on thier Familias?

The easy way to access the Mazda websites is to enter "mazda.com". That takes you to a world map where you can drill down to the various areas of the world covered by Mazda. Most of the sites are available only in the local language but since they mostly use a common template you can figure them out.
