Sound cutting out at louder volumes??

Over the past few days I've noticed that when I crank my system towards max volume, my sounds cuts in and out over and over again, and doesn't stop until I lower down the volume to 25 or less(max volume for my listening is 28). I've been able to crank my system at times turned up to 27-28 for about 2 years now, and have never had ALL sound cut off and on like it's been doing. The music stops and starts like something is shorting out and causing this to happen. I haven't changed ANY settings or gear out in about 3 months, or a little more.

HU: Alpine 7998
Amp: Alpine 5 Channel- MRD F752
Components: 1 set of 2 way Rainbow CMX Kicks in the front, being run active
Sub: Single 12" Eclipse sub in a sealed box

Any ideas on what might be causing my music to cut out at specifically around/at max volume?

Distortion.
Better Aline amps tend to have protection circuits that stop signals when high and damaging levels of distortion and or heat are being generated.
My old V12 expert stuff used to shut down the signals in steps. First the highs then the mids then everything would go out.

A poor ground can cause this problem.

Thanks for the input.

I actually popped my hood after I got home tonight, and it turns out that the Knukoncepts fuze is completely melted away to slag. I'm glad I checked under the hood and found that out before driving around too long.

So does that mean that I have a voltage issue? Or do I just need a bigger fuse to replace it with?

Here's a pic of the old fuse that melted. It was a 120ANL.

It was from a Knukoncepts 4awg wire kit.

never seen that before.
I think you have a short or something else was really wrong.
Something in that fuse caused a high resistance but did not blow.
Because of that the voltage is discharged over the fuse like a resistor and heated up to something nuts.
