Sorta New (to me anyways) Protege - Building up for SCCA RallyX

:
2012 Mazda2 Sport
Hey guys!

Not particularly new to the forum. Just finally gotten around to introducing myself to the protg group. :)

Picked this one up about a year and a half ago and decided to start building it up for rallycross. Such a fun car! I also own and autocross a Mazda2. The protg just fits the general/multipurpose role so much better, and I do enjoy the mechanical throttle. Not the shiniest coin in the bucket but still a good deal for the price I paid for her in my opinion.

Rallycross Setup (Still WIP):
AEM SRI
OBX Header
Racing Beat Cat-back
MSP Oilcooler
Mishimoto Radiator and Fanshroud
Corksport Skidplate
Miata Daisies with Firestone Winterforces
Stock Struts/Springs
No Front Swaybar

I may purchase some Ksport Gravel Coilovers in the near future but still looking at other options. Not really ready to spend the money/time on a custom bilstein or koni insert set up. Mainly looking to bump up the spring rates a bit and raise the car for more clearance. I also have an MSP trans with MFactory helical I'll be swapping in soon. Helical on dirt... I guess I'll just have to test it out and see how she goes haha!

Nice! I did something similar with my MX5. I bought it as repaired salvage, saved about $8,000, and upgraded it's suspension/wheels/tires.
