Sirius Sportster 8 Dock and Play Radio Install

Recently purchased 2016 CX-5 GS and was surprised to find no 12v outlet at front of vehicle. Never even thought to look before purchasing. Now I want to install my Sirius Sportster 8 dock and play radio, but not really sure how to, unless plugged at rear of vehicle. Was also told to not keep anything plugged into that outlet for long periods of time, as it's continuously on.

Has anyone successfully installed a plug and play Sirius radio in 2016 CX-5 model?

What type of plug does the Sportster take? If it is just a mini or micro USB get a USB to mini/micro and plug it into the USB ports near the center console.

Doesn't the car come equipped with satellite radio? Why not just activate the satellite radio instead of a stand alone

It takes a 5v power adapter...same that would fit into a cigarette lighter outlet.

Unfortunately, no. Satellite only option on GT model...I have the GS (mid level)
