Short Shifters

OK. So what's the deal? They start at $99 (Kartboy) and go to $179 (SR Motorsports). What's the difference?

BTW, at the Mazda RevItUp, I test-drove a Mazdaspeed (man, the damage I could do to my license in one of them!! GUESS why I got a P5 instead?!?!?!?) and what a SWEET shifting car! What can I put in my P5 to make it shift like THAT?

My car with the Kartboy lever and stock knob. Did the bushings also. Love it! Short and notchy :D

I don't like my stock knob, so that will DEFINITELY go. That MSP shifter was AWESOME. I GOTTA get me one of THOSE!

But, what's the difference that their such a wide margin in the prices?

well some like the bm short shifter are all made form one piece of metal, its really a nice piece.

the kartboy is welded, but its still very high quality.

i dunno anything about the others, other than the twm is adjustable i think.

if you just want the feel of the msp you can just take off the extention peice on the stock shifter and get the Sparco Techno knob which is almost exactly the same as the MSP one.

the TWM is not adjustable. but is a very good quality short shifter. one of my honda buddies, and mr2 buddies were helping me install it and really liked it. another one of my buddies drove my car stock, then drove it with the TWM SS and all he could say is WOW. he really liked it.

the hardest problem about getting a SS for our pros is all the companies are good and nobody have had any problems with them on this board. so you are more looking at price range and shipping costs. but def get the kart boy shifter bushings.
