So, why have none been developed? Who wouldn't want a shorter throw in their Mz2 for around under $100? I'd be more than happy to submit it as a product idea to CorkSport.

More specifically, Derrick, have you guys looked into this? I'm sure enough Mz2 owners would purchase this to make it worth while.

What does everyone else think?

Great idea. I would buy one.

As I understand it, FWD Mazdas have two options for a short shifter. There are shift plates, which go into the linkage somehow, and actual short-throw shift levers. I'm not sure what the functional difference is but shift plates seem to be cheaper.

We are looking at making this currently.

I had an idea for one as well. You could adjust the length of the throw, and be able to change where the throw was. Basically you could adjust the throws to be closer to the dash or closer towards the driver.

Once I get the Turbo running 100% on the Miata I will probably look into the shifter thing. I like how the 2 feels so I really just want to make it to make it. Not that I really need it.

No date available. We had a test setup on the shop two on the track a few times. We decide to try out a different setup which is still in development.

Guesstimate at the amount of reduction in throws? Not neccesarily in numbers, but literal positioning?
