Shift Knob...for Arizona Drivers

Was wondering if any of you drivers have a good shift knob that can stand up to AZ hotness (is that a word ). In other words, a knob which I can touch and use, since it's a manual, after having it sit in the sun for most of the day.
Sometimes after having the car sit out on the ASU park. lot, I swear I nearly burn my hand...ouch.

GA no AZ, but I regret buying the shift knob I did. Mine has a polished metal top. Not good in the GA heat. Certainly not good in AZ. I think this was self explanitory, but avoid shift knobs with metal. Good luck finding something.

whatever you do don't get a carbon fiber....my friend has one that thing gets hella hot...i have no idea how he shifts...he uses like one finger to throw it into gear as fast as he can...lol

pretty much no matter what you get its going to be as hot as the interior of your car is....as far as it sitting in direct sunlight...get the windown shade to put on the windshield, that helps from the sun beating directly on it....

other than that....if you have a knob that is covered with leather it won't be as hot to the touch at first....

ANTOHER suggestion is get the knob of your choice...regardles of the material....and then make a small cloth cover to put on top of it...like a small bag....when you stop and are going to be parked in the direct sun for a prolonged period of time...slip in on like a jimmy and the sun can't beat down on it.....

the knob will still be just as hot as the interior of your car...but not hotter as it would get with the sun shining on it directly.

LOL that is too funny....I can just see her face and hear her voice now when you look over at her the first time and ask her to get the jimmy out of the glove box and put it on your KNOB....and all the while you just pulled up and parked in the middle of a crowded parking lot at the mall or something like that...ROTFLMAO (rofl)
