after the dyno run yesterday it was fine at the first few pulls but after it wouldnt hold the boost at 10psi im runing a unichip and we were trying to to tune it but everytime the boost wouldnt hold it hit 10 and start slowly droping to like 5psi then at one point i coulnt even boost past 4 psi. so i thought the turbo was done. i took off my intake and check the fins there good no play in the turbo. i even had my friend put his hand on it well close to and hit the gas and she sucking lol. so i left like that and started driving home hit the gas and there she goes back up to 10psi but she still starts to drop slow back to 5psi. helppppppppppppppppp plz and thank u

Might want to check all your vacuum lines, especially the one coming off the intake manifold. Because when I had this problem with my MSP and that was the cause for all the problems.

yea I say check for boost leaks first...if you are running the stock plastic pipes they I can almost guarantee thats the problem...those arent good for sustaining anything much over 8psi....heatsoak wouldnt cause a drop that big...it would be more of a constant difference....if you're running stock exhaust it could also just be from backpressure..though 5psi is a bit extreme as it usually only causes 2-3psi drops...

Your car is fine, It's the dyno that has the problem. I too had the same problem when I dynoed my car. On the street it goes to 10psi but on the dyno it wouldn't go past 7psi. My friend with his SRT-4 had the same problem. He couldn't boost over 10psi and he normally boosts 15 (i think). I was told that dyno's need to be spring loaded to handle turbo cars. I don't know what that means and why it won't work with turbo cars. Just know that your car is fine and it's not your car. I made 180whp on 7psi but I would really like to know what I can do on 10psi. Can anybody with Dyno knowledge please help us out here??

I thought it had something with it not sucking in as much air as when you drive on the street. We had two little fans and one massive fan going and we still couldn't bring it past 7psi. The car DID NOT have heat soak on it. The car was sitting for several hours before we did a dyno. Engine was warmed up a bit before dyno started.

Can't speak from dyno experience but I know on the street I would peg the boost gauge. At the track I could only get around 15-17psi. It's all about how the vehicle is loaded.

Does your car having smoke coming out of the exhuast? If yes, you are in a bigger trouble then you think.
