Set destination from phone?

Hi guys, I will soon own a 2014 CX-5 with Tech and I wanted to know if any current owners are able to send an address to the navigation/TomTom software through bluetooth.
I want to find a destination on my phone (Yelp, Google maps, etc) and use that address without entering it manually or struggling with the voice commands.

I tried sharing an address through bluetooth while taking the car out for a test drive, with my Android Gingerbread phone, but to no avail. The car would not accept the transfer.

I am getting the new Galaxy S4 phone so I was hoping that would make a difference, but I doubt it. Current owners with the S3 should be in the same boat.

My guess is that the navigation software is isolated from the bluetooth feature, since it doesn't use it for traffic or software update, so most likely it is not possible to straight out share an address with TomTom through bluetooth. Maybe it is possible on the IPhone through USB.

I hope that at least when transferring my contacts, the addresses can be used for navigation. I can work with that, by creating a contact that I will keep updating on my phone with a destination address and it will get synced to car as an option. I haven't tried syncing my contacts because I didn't want it to take forever and leave my contacts in the test car, so hopefully someone here can confirm that you can navigate to your contacts without entering their address manually.

Thanks!

Not possible at all, not android not iphone, it's a self contained nav program.
No the phone contact addresses can not be used for nav, you have to manually input your favorites.
Bluetooth is only for phone calls, phone media sounds, and phonebook, and on some phones text messaging.

The TomTom data is ran from an SD card, and you can pop it into a comptuer and load up the TomTom Home program to update and configure it, you can set routes too i believe, let me grab the SD card and try it on my work computer.

It says you can make a route and send it to your SD card automatically but i don't see the option, i do see the option to find an address and save it.
All done with TomTom Home program and this website: http://routes.tomtom.com/

Edit well that sucks, "this functionality is not yet supported for your device"

That's a major downside.
I guess the best I can do is to make the phone readout the address :S

Can you program addresses for voice recognition? (besides home)
