Schedualed dyno time for tomorrow

:
2003 Protege ES-T
lets take bets, i'm going for a conservative 260, like to see 280... it is a dynojet so i might acually see 280 lol. if i see under 240 or over 290 i'm gonna s*** my pants. If i don't make my numbers, well my FTC's map sensor is good for 16psi...

i think my exhaust is gonna hurt me. i might unbolt my midpipe first

Can't wait to see results! I'm actually dynoing on Sunday if I can get out of my orientation class early...It's a dynodynamics. $50 for unlimited, unfortunately there's going to be like 50+ people already scheduled.

Since this is my first dyno I honestly don't care about my numbers. I'm going to go and learn as much as I can...lol

yeah, same here. it's nice to have a goal tho. lol i just hope they don't bend my control arms. i dont have front tie downs.

That would be exciting. lol. Can I borrow ur car for the semester? I'll bring it back...say christmas break? lol

I have some jb weld. I'm going to try it after I clean up the oil around the fitting

I don't know if i'm going to dyno now. I have a slight oil leak at the oil pan fitting I had welded on. WTF? Never going back there to have something welded. I need to tap a hole on the crank case for oil return line. blah.

If you don't go just take my car lol

i used a bunch of the permatex white thread sealer. no leaks

I think the leak may have been coming from my oil return line in general. The way I have my system is a straight threaded piece with adapter plate that goes on turbo itself (Came on turbo), and then I ordered a 5/8" push on 45 degree angled fitting to have welded on oil pan. it's somewhat of a loop to get to and would cause a kink in the hose. Last night I made the hose as straight as possible using zip ties and pulling the hose, and trying to keep off exhaust.

Car feels great with side mounts and I love the HKS V3. With the HKS V1 I was having a little turkey when blowing off in low rpm's, with the V3 and it's self-adjust capability there wasn't even any turkeying going on in low rpm's.

ok, so there were some problems. first the temp was in the 90's and the two little fans they had didn't do much, cuz of the high temps i was running crazy rich. luckily while they were figuring out the problems with the dyno and my ignition, i was able to tune it a little better. apparently the WOT BOX was ******* wit the ignition. the first two runs the middle of the graph was cut out. i told them it was a wastespark ignition, and he set it for that but apparently the guy said it kept cutting in and out of wastespark, wtf??. luckily the the WOT BOX wires were easily accessable and i was able to grab the wire leading to the WOT BOX and that worked perfect on the 3rd run. i gotta email N2MB about this

also as you can see on the graph they read 13.7psi, afterwards i checked my boost controller and the FTC datalog and i barely broke 12 psi. around 11.8-12.3psi. had i know that, i woulda cranked up the boost a little more. lol

but i said 260 and i got there. lol

for AFR, the dashed line represents 11.8AFR

thanks man. i still gotta pull some fuel where you see those two dips. i don't understand why the dyno saw 13.7 psi. i'm like 98% sure i saw him grab the source from the manifold.
