Safety issues/airbags?

Mazda6 safety issues? Does anyone know anything about the 6's safety ratings? About two weeks ago I got into an accident and my airbags didn't go off despite the fact that the impact was big enough to wreck my right, center pillar while messing up the suspension, tilting my tires and basically damaging the entire ride side of my car. Only the right side "curtain" airbags went off, and I went flying to the left door thus ending up hitting my left arm and having to go to the chiropractor for the rest of my summer vacation. Was there a problem with my car or what? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There hasn't been any recalls, TSB's, or MRI's on airbag issues or problems. The car's also gotten excellent results in crash tests, with excellent ratings for side impact (if you get the airbags).

All I can figure if your particular accident wasn't enough force at the particular spot to deploy the front airbags. Its more a case of crash dynamics then a car issue/problem.

Aitte thanks man. I just feel like I have to blame everything on someone lol. I have to go to the chiropractor forever ... my cars STILL in the shop ... it's gonna cost nearly 9k to fix ... and its going to take another 4-5 weeks to fix considering how the mother-f@#$#@#$ing shop is working ... sigh ...
