Rust Prevention

Okay so I live in southern Ontario where rust is quite inevitable on a vehicle. But I would like to know what is the best way to prevent or slow the process. I have heard as far as spray coatings go Krown has the best at approx $90 CDN per year. But what I am really interested in is how the electronic rust prevention modules are doing. Does anyone have one or know anyone with one or know anything about them that could steer me towards a good company so that I could buy one.

If I shouldn't be touching one of these please let me know I do not want to waste my money

I drove straight from the dealership to Krown when I got my car.

I've heard mixed reviews about electronic rust prevention.
