Rolling Road Tuning Issues??????

Mazda 6 MPS
I recently had my Mazda MPS (as its called in England) remapped by a very reputable tuner. The first session on the roller gave standard bhp of 252.1 and torque figure of 251 (down on what it is suppoed to be). After the remap bhp was up to 319.1 and torque to 281.9. The car certainly felt faster but recently i have either got used to it or it has slowed. I took it to another tuning place who have just purchased a brand new Dyno Dynamics R/R and the bhp after four runs was around 250. Where has 70bhp gone!! Or are the rollers known to give such different figures.

Any comments or advice greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I dont think I have ever seen a MPS make more HP then TQ. Maybe they ripped ya off by saying they tuned it, then recalibrating their dyno to show increased numbers. Unless yu had a piggyback installed or some sort of AFR computer there is no way they reflashed your ECU. Nobody can do that to this date.

I was due to take the car back to where it had been remapped. From what I understand it was dimsport software where they read the map on my ECU and then loaded a new map onto once the file had been written. Unfortunately the r/r was broken. Perhaps that was just convenient!! The guys I have been dealing with are getting some software which will piggy back onto the ECU and work in that way as you say above. Hopefully it will get sorted out. I do feel let down at the moment.
