Rod Run show in Pigeon Forge, TN.....

Did anyone go to it??? This car event is one of the biggest "car shows" in the United States. Yea, i know that it was mainly for classic muscle cars (nothing wrong with them..), but there were A LOT of imports too. I saw 5 SRT-4s and a couple of WRXs. So, where were the MSPs!?!?! I know there are some people on this forum that live in the south so where were you?? Feel Free To Post...

I didn't know anything about it or i would have gone. Sounds like fun.

It was. Lots of old mustangs and camaros. BEAUTIFUL cars!....An SRT-4 wanted to race my brother's Cobra but once the SRT-4 heard my brother's car, he went on his way. I hate Neons....But, it is a great thing. Just park your car (if you can find a spot) and walk down the Pigeon Forge strip and for about 4 miles all you can see are cars, cars, and more cars...its great

I was GOING to take my Spicy Orange up there for the weekend, but some dumbass theiving bastards killed my plan for that. I live about 2 1/2 hours away and own some property in Pigeon Forge that I wanted to check on too.

I've been to many of the "rod runs", and they are the best crusing I've ever seen. Eight out of ten cars out there are just bad-ass, from super rare musclecars to 'vettes, to imports, all crusing three or four lanes in each direction over a four mile stretch...barely moving...and thousands more killer cars in the parking lots beside the strip. For those who live close enough to make the trip, it's car-nut heaven! There will be another in the Fall, and I hope to be there with the MSP.

^^^^^^^ Couldnt have said it better......I totally second his invitation to going to the next one. They are great. Yesterday was the first time ive been to the Pigeon Forge "rod run" and yes, it is car-nut heaven.

MrDiggler---so, i take it that someone tried to still your car??? What happened?
See the thread titled "Arrrrgghh, I HATE thieves".

I just PM'd ya. We'll have to hook up at the Fall run. I can't wait. The last time I went there with a "cool" car was about '90 with a trick green 323 GTX, and I had the best time. I've been many times since, but never to show off. I'd love to take the T/A, but not until I get the paint done. Maybe by the fall I can get it done and drive it up there and let my girlfriend drive the MSP. It would be ultra sweet to have both. The monster clutch and big cam in the T/A make it hard to cruise for extended periods in it. I'd have to take regular "breaks" in the MSP, lol.

my roommate was there hiking this weekend and just by chance and saw the show. he was stuck in traffic for a while and got all pissed at these loud choppers. then he looked closer and saw that all the helmets had the "west cost choppers" logos on them. and then her saw that the mirriors were the logos aswell. and when he finally put two and two together he realized that he was driving next to jessie james. he has pictures but they arent developed yet.(what a rookie, still takes pictures on film.)

SWEET!

As for the traffic, if you're not there for the show and have hours to kill just getting into Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, then it's going to suck. Then again, if you're into cars, you'll be in hog heaven.
