I don't hear any Godsmack at all. I hear hear a band with talented members that are scared to take it to the next level. The song is good, but very basic. I hear a great rock band such as Nickelback or Velvet Revolver in there whating for someone to let their talent come through. BTW, its OK for the drummer and bass player to lock in with each other and play under or different melody then the guitars. It would give the music a fuller sound and gives the listener more to hear. But if you must have the whole band play in unision, then listen to Iron Madian. They all play locked together, during verses, but yet they are all over the fret board harmonizing.
All in all, I think it is bland with lots of potiential.
