I have a rather nasty parking situation daily and I just have to park in reverse with limited space all around and with junk around me. Been doing it for 3 weeks now but really feel the need to upgrade my reverse lights. They are fine for 90% of the time and have no issues. My case is unique. So, does anyone know what's the wattage/lumen for the OEM setup and what are options to upgrade? I am only interested in upgrading the bulbs and can not at this point install any new lights, etc.

Bulb size is 921, but I'm not aware if anything brighter. Doesn't the backup camera help? And skip the LED bulbs, they will diminish output as the revers light housing was designed for halogens, or omnidirectional light source.

Okay, thanks. Found the entire bulb reference. Will create a separate thread and share.

Also, keep in mind a film of road grime on your tail light lenses can easily cut out over half of the light output. It helps tremendously to keep those lenses waxed and cleaned off so all the light produced hits the target. Also wax the lens of your rear camera while you're at it.

Is it BRIGTHER than stock?

They are technically brighter. However, the housings were designed with reflection in mind. Therefore the light dispersal is not the same as stock. In reality, they probably only provide a little more light over stock but the aesthetic look of white LED is much more pleasing and it does appear brighter to other cars.

Yep. They work great. Definitely brighter at least looks brighter. (yippy)
