Replacing Mazda5 car battery

New member here. Got some questions regarding replacing my 2006 Mazda5 car battery,
1. Is it safe to use this memory safer from amazon to connects to the car OBII port when swapping the battery? I can use the 8 AA cell battery box for the hook up. I don't have a spare 12v battery. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0CCDF1N14/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?smid=A2EKTLQ5Y5BQ4P&th=1

2. I have this DC power supply for radio control car. It is basically a transformer with a voltage adjust dail from 9 to 13.5 volts with 3 amps continous current. Can I connect this at 13.5 volts to the car battery positive and negative cables or connects to the above amazon memory safer to avoid losing ECU, windows and fob key data while swapping the battery?

The DC power supply would be best to mimick the battery being present when swapping out the actual battery.

The voltage and ampere output is similar to the battery charger and it's something you already have which saves you money.

Hook up the power supply to the battery terminals before you disconnect your car battery all the while the power supply remains hooked up until the new battery is in place and reconnected.

Easy peasy as they say.

Yes.
All it's doing is maintaining the minimum 12.8 volts necessary to keep all preset memories in the system.

46 years as an electronic tech.
You'll be fine.
Hook up the charger, disconnect battery, and make the swap.

Been there and done that.
