2002 Silver P5
I lost my spare keyless remote for my 2002 P5 and need to replace it. Couple of questions:
- Has anyone found a good source for online OEM replacement?
- My car is a Canuck. The model # on my remote is Model 41706
P/N BL8D 67 5RY. Same for US P5's?

My dealer wants $150 Can to replace and $20 to reprogram. Surely one can do much better. Of course anyone who can read can reprogram the thingie.

I've installed a remote starter/locks and don't really use mine anymore...pm me an offer if you're interested.

Whoa! 1 for $100 or 2 for $200! What a deal :)

The $150 mentioned in the post above is Canadian...so that's like what...$90.00US.

umm. ok.

then $99 for each remote.

ha! bobster, thank Humvee for reducing the price $1 USD.

so, that will be $99 for one, or $198 for two. that's US dollars.

I think that's a deal...because each controller here in the United States costs $150, and that USD.

Damn that's a hi price from the dealer.

A replacement remote for my car starter (LCD display, 2-way FM trasmitter) is "only" $130CDN rubles.

I take it your car has an automatic transmission...because remote car starters won't work with a manual transmission.

I wonder if bobster's car can even use a remote starter?

It is auto. *aaargh...wife*

You can get remote starts for your std. car, it just costs a little more (in$tall), and I've heard some states won't let you. Since most people use dog sleds up here to get around, I guess the gov't thought we'd be ok allowing remote starts on std. cars

They certainly do.

Go to any car stereo store and you'll see that they can do remote starters on manual transmission cars. Heck, they can do diesels. My neighbor two doors down has a remote starter on his Dodge 3500 diesel manual transmisison pickup.

not here in southern california...what good is remote start capability in a place that thinks 65 degrees fahrenheit is cold?
