Remotely Mazda: Used Oil as Wood Stain

I have a few outdoor benches that I assembled two years ago and stained with used oil from one of my cars. After being exposed to the elements, the wood looks dry and thirsty. Yesterday they all got a coat of Royal Purple 0w20 with 6K miles from the CX-3. I wonder if the purple dye in the oil will leave a darker color.

Waiting for them to dry so I am sitting on a cinder block right now.
