Realistic Power Gains?

What are some realistic power gains that I can see on a N/A 2008 Mazda3 S? I know stock HP is 150+, I just wanna make about 50-70 additional horses. It seems plausable. My expected mods are, Mazdaspeed CAI, WeaponR Intake Manifold, (any performance cams that I can find), Vibrant headers and Cat-Back Exhaust, and also performance pulley kit. What do u guys predict my numbers would say when all is said and done??? I don't see why those mods can't pull an additional 45 at least.

Can someone plz respond even if to tell me imma jackass for asking such a retarded question... LOL

You can buy one of those eBay chips and Vortex generators. They're good for 25hp each.

Seriously though, you'll get maybe 10-15 whp from those mods. Maybe a bit more. Getting 50-70 whp from a NA engine is tough. There is a guy on another forum with a proper NA build and I can see how he'd be hard pressed to gain 70 whp.

If you want 50 hp quick, turbocharge your car.

50 wet shot, ull need fuel line adapter from matco and the zex kit will leave u good to go. google it, its cheaper than boost if thats all your looking for. if your doing auto x or want more power f2 and tripoint makes good turbo kits.

just as a side note. we figured out that you have an 3i not an 3s. stock specs are 148hp/135tq. which means you are probably getting 125-130hp to the wheels with no mods.

You're looking for ~220hp from a 2.0L NA engine apparently... consider that the 1st gen Suzuki Hayabusa dyno'd out at about that power density: 160hp from an NA 1.3L engine. No cats, incredibly short exhaust, 11.0:1 compression ratio, and it made peak power around 9,700 RPM.

You'll need to gut your exhaust, bump your compression way up, redo the entire valve train, take off your AC compressor, balance every rotation assembly to at least 10,000 rpm, etc... good luck... you're never, ever, going to ever see that kind of power with just bolt-ons on that engine.

Well I am new to this forum, but 20-30 hp is pushing it without doing some crazy stuff and keeping NA.

In the Sticky's on this same section you will see how a guy did dyno sheets of several mods up to stage 3.

Here is what I am looking to do.

Ground kit (DIY) for smoother power delivery
F2 intake
Vibrant Exhaust manifold (header)
Vibrant cat back
SR Motorsports Pulley kit
Balance shaft delete (2.3L only)

I have the 2.3L 5-spd. If I get 20-25 more whp out of it then I will be super stoked. I think that is worth $1,500.

Add BC coilovers, Hotchkiss Sways, Slotted rotors, good pads and I will be ready to rip.
