hey guys...not trying to dog the new msp cause i own an mp3 myself and love it to death but...we just raced on in my friends p/u...he has a 99 ext cab silverado and he only has an exhaust, cold air intake, and thorttle body on his truck and we like beat this car for the most part until he finally had to shift into third gear...and then we were just side by side at about 90 at this time...i mean im sure my friend had a bit of an advantage cause his truck will do 86 in 2nd so its a pretty nice truck...my real statement here is that i thought that the msp would be faster than his truck when i can stay right next to him in my mp3 for the most part...unless this guy driving the msp wasnt that good of a driver...not writing this to piss anyone off just want some feedback towards anyone racing against other vehicles like this and having problems from pulling from them.

At anywhere over 90+mph or even at 4th or 5th gear in the MSP. It will mostly destroy the Truck or Mp3 on topend. Maybe the guy in the MSP left it in 5th gear and nailed it around 70+ or so. I mean once the Turbo starts spoolin then all you will be seeing is taillights. The MSP is way quicker than the MP3 period.

A truck Vs. MSP from 0-whatever, i still think the MSP would whoop on a truck (PERIOD).
ok like i said in my post i did not write this to piss anyone off or to make ppl angry at me...my friends truck topend is faster than my mp3 and the mp3 shuts off at 132 and his truck still pulls from me...so yeah topend he goes faster than i can only cause i have a fuel shut off and i heard that the msp had a shutoff at 130..not for sure if that is correct just whuit i have heard. and now the type-s, wrx, se-r...i know that my friends truck cant outrun a wrx...they have awd and putting 227hp not to the wheels of course but of course it would stomp our ass...type-s i dont lose much ground to and they shut off at 135 and he didnt pull that much on me on the hwy..and for the se-r have never seen one around here to race...like i said b4 im not trying to brag or have anyone hate me cause i do own an mp3..and i love it to death...i just thought that this guy would have pulled on us big time...and...this was all from about a 5mph roll so not sure if the msp is slow from like a 5-60 roll or not...but it was all fun tho..and it was no straight line either...it was down a curvy part of hulen street and my friends truck handles pretty good for a full size p/u...so please dont hate me for posting this was just curious bout ppl racing other trucks or vehicles like his

like i said b4...i love my car and i think that the msp is a sweet ride and want one myself...just simply saying that we raced one and that the guy wasnt a good driver or may have missed a gear or just...for some reason...my friends truck was running really good that night

ya for all those wondering, those pu's have LOTS of power, i just drove a bunch around today at the lot. (unfortunately, they top out round 100s)
so ur tellin me that drag limited means that the fuel to my engine shuts off? im not trying to be a smart ass but i am no car person..i thought that drag limited just meant that the aerodynamics on the car wont allow you to go any faster...cause when i hit 132 my engine shuts off for a second until i slow down to about 127 and then starts going again.
