qustion involving first cat delete.

hey guys i just found a fairly good deal on a corksport dp. anyways i dont want to have any problems with emmisions or whatever so i was thinkin. if i moved the 02 sensor to the 2nd cat and just had the first removed could i still pass emissions? im thinkin the dp will free up alot more flow then just a test pipe. anyways im taking it to an exhaust shop to get the dp installed if i do it. how much would it run if possible to move the 02 sensor to the back so i throw no codes and so i can still pass emissions? in addition if i gutted out the 2nd cat and went with this setup would it throw a cel?

our cars don'tneed to be smogged for 4 years, so you have plenty of time to have a dp on and enjoy it, and if you dont sell the car in 4 years, then just put it back on for the smog

there isnt a "cat light"

if your car doesnt get sniff tested youll be fine as long as there is no CEL.

/\ +1. However, if you replace the downpipe and you end up with a busted turbo seal (which will cause the excessive smoking issue), then you might have a problem passing the emission inspection even your car does not have cel.

let me make this easy

let me sum it up for you, yes after 4 years u gotta worry about smog tests.
but untill then not to throw a code go to advanced auto and get a 8mm thread spark plug nonfouler. take it home and use a 1/2 inch drill bit to drill a hole trough the middle. Next take it and thread it into where your 2nd o2 is then thread ur o2 into it. it will make enough of a difference between the two so you dont throw a code. Just untill you can get a tune
