- 2009 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring
My wife has a 2009 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring with the Bose sound system. We ejected the navigation map dvd the other day to look at it. When I went to put it back in it didn't automatically pull the cd in, so I push it a little bit to see if it would auto-feed it back in. I maybe pushed it in about 1/3 of the way in and then pulled it back out when it didn't automatically take the dvd. My wife then put the dvd in again and it automatically pulled it in, but it would never load. Now it would just spin for a few seconds while making a clicking noise and then eject it a little ways, then pull it back in and spin again, and then finally ejecting it. The feed mechanism still works perfectly and it automatically accepts the dvd, it just won't load...I'm thinking I messed something up inside. Anyways, I tried disconnecting the battery and waiting a few minutes, then reconnecting it...but that didn't work. Now it's just showing a black screen with white writing saying "A Program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer." Prior to disconnecting the battery, at least the blue radio screen/display was still working. Any idea what's going on and how I might be able to fix this? If it cannot be fix, that will lead me to the next paragraph below.
I called my local Mazda dealer and they gave me the part number of the navigation radio which was TEY066DVX and they also said part number TE9566DV0A would also work. They said my best bet would probably be to buy a factory OEM off of ebay, but the problem here is that when I search ebay for those two part numbers...only 1 navigation/radio unit is for sale (link below).

It seems like the 2009 and 2010 CX-9s came with a navigation system with only 1 cd player (not a multi-disc changer). There are plenty other cheaper used CX-9 navigation unit for sale, mostly 2007-2008 and 2013-2015. My question is...would any of these other year's navigation units work in my wife's 2009 with simply and plug and play? These other year's navigation units look to be the same dimensions as my wife's 2009...see link below.
