Whats up.

I am looking at trading my Protege 5 in on the Mazda 6 GS (v6 5spd). I wanna know what people are paying for a lease/or buy over 60 months. any input would be appreciated. I love this car. My Protege 5 is amazing but I am in buisness and travel a lot. I need something more I think. this car meets every need I have. anyway. thanks in advance guys.

I don't know aboot Canada, eh, but the US has 0.0% APR for 48 Months & 1.9% APR for 60 Months but you can't get the Sport Package :(. If you get the 60 month deal on a fully-loaded 6S your payments will run about $500 US if you put nothing down...

You could check w/ your dealer on the exact details for your area, but don't expect much on a trade-in on the Protege5. Mine depreciated TONS in only 8 months...

Been thinking of picking up a Mazda6 also and honestly I would have gotten the 6 if it was out when I got my P5.

P5s do not go for lot in the used market kinda of due to fact there are so many out there. Which is cool but also doesn't help on the resale.

Good luck though.

Once I saw the 1st one that the dealer received in December, I thought the same thing. But, now I have one!! Too bad I got it for a bad reason (problems w/ my Protege5)...

Yep I really needed a car since my last one was dieing and the P5 was the only thing that interested me at the time.
Though next year I'll probably be looking for another car and will probably pick up a 6. Then start really modding the P5 :D :D

I got a good trade value for the 5. but it is still not in my budget right now. the interest is a bit high I think. plus I was looking at leasing due to buisness. but I am going to hold off a bit. I payed 21000 for my 5, and the dealer offered me 18500. I have had the car for a year now. but I have had about 6 cars from these guys. so they like me. anyway. I will keep you posted. thanks for the replys.

If you get a 5 speed manual v6 in the states right now you will wait as well as pay a premium due to their rarity. My reccomendation is that if you can, wait for the 2k4's. There will be more v6's with manuals available so the dealer won't be able to gauage you.

As of now though I do not think you can order any more 2k3's so you may be forced to wait anyway. If you can find a 6s sport package with manual on a lot then go for it and consider yourself damn lucky:)

i think you guys need to keep in mind he is from canadia... thats why the price seems so good on his trade in.

mazda6 is a great car.

I just bought a Mazda 6 Gs-V6 GFX for 39 000$ (can) tax, prep and transport included, comes out to about 650 $ (can) a month!

Just to update this the 0% is now for 60 months!!
Which is why I am going with the 6's.

Yes the Sport package viods the $1250 bonus for loyalty and the 0%
WHich sucks since the sprot package looks GOOD!
Know I have to keep an eye out for well fitting body kits instead.

Appearance package is nice - Just no rims and spiffy illuminated gauges. Course for the $1200 you saved you could buy the rims lol.

I am getting a 6s with the apperance, leather, spoiler, fog lights, sports grill and moon roof. I will add the wheels on my own.
