Question about red security light on instrument panel (2022 CX-5)

Hello. I have a 2022 Mazda CX-5 carbon edition. Just a question about the red security light on the instrument panel. When I'm in the car with the ignition off the red security light flashes on and off. When I turn on the ignition the red light goes off. I just want to be sure this is normal? Thank you I'm a new Mazda owner. Thank you.

(The "security" light doesn't actually do anything. It's like one of those fake cameras in front of a door - there just for appearances.)

Yes. It is normal.
The flashing red key symbol indicates the immoblizer is activated.

Thank you for your help. I just wanted to be sure I didn't drain the battery. One time I left the ignition in the accessory position and I drained the battery!

It would take that little flashing LED years to drain the battery.
