Question about HID on Mazda 3

Hey everyone just got 1 quick question about adding HIDs to my 2010 mazda 3 sport GS. I've heard that some kits will blink quickly when you just have your regular daytime driving lights on due to the low voltage that is sent to the lights ... is this true? Also wondering what kit i should go with that is reasonably priced, ships to Canada and is easy to install as i'm going to be doing it myself.

hey are all easy to install. Just find a good spot for the balasts. The daytime running lights are the high beams so you don't have to worry about them interfering with your hid's either. I've had mine in for almost 2 years now with no real problems

I got my HIDs in a group buy and the tabs that hold the bulb in the enclosure snapped off, I am thinking becuase of the horrible conditions of the roads during the huge snow/ice storm. So the bulb ended up half way falling out and melted the opening where it should lock into. So now my HID on my passenger side is super glued into place. Its Janky, but it works.

So my only advice is to make sure you get HIDs with metal tabs like the oem bulb.

just ordere my set from DDM picked the 6000K ones.

Sean2010 did you need the optional piece to make it so they don't flicker like some models need?

Just got a phone call .... Lights are in .... can't wait to finish the day at work and go home to install them .... its like christmas today :D

UPDATE:

Installed in 45min .... hardest part is trying to find a place to hide the ballast on the drivers side. Doing a test tonight once it gets dark.

well when i initially did it, it worked perfect....never flickered. But I bought a cheap set off ebay. the passenger side ended up going out, for good. I ended up getting into an accident and they were replaced to a newer slim ballast type. Not so much as a flicker has come of these.

I double sided taped the ballast to the top of the fuse box cover on the drivers side. Looks decent cause it looks like an aftermarket part
