Also put on the JDM visors. I'm not planning on lowering it anytime soon. Spent six years in my lowered WRX and I enjoy the comfier ride of the Speed3 right now :)

Heh...nope. They're still on there in full force. Come to find out, with these titanium/hyper silver finishes, the special paint and the finish they use aren't very durable. So the previous owner must've sprayed on an acidic cleaner and let it sit too long. The acid works its way beneath the clearcoat and draws up the dark paint and then you have the stain. Can't get it out with polishing. Got a quote already from some neighbors who run a mobile wheel repair place. I'll have to decide at this point to have the wheels re-painted or get my windows tinted. Hmmm...

Lesson learned from the previous owner. Don't ever use wheel cleaners. And I don't. I like to just use soap and water - thus meaning not being lazy and letting brake dust accumulate.

i feel the same way about lowering my MS3, i spent 6 years also in my lowered Si.. the MS3 feels to good right now so i'm not gonna mess with it. Hard to do, but im getting through it. (rofl2)

jeez shinka is such a weird ******* name for a set of wheels! Did Mazda actually give that name to rx-8 wheels?

Does our wheel have a name to it as well then?

Shinka was a special edition of the RX8 and the wheels have a darker, shinier finish than the standard 18's.

good to know! The wheels look very nice in that shiny polished aluminum type of look. I had heard the work before, just never knew what it meant and it sounded weird as hell.

It's the Japanese word for evolution or transformation. There were only 2150 cars produced supposedly.

Canadian-spec '08.5 and '09 MS3s have a similar finish on their rims as well.

Looks good!

those look great, if you ever get tired of them and want some MS6 or stockers give me a shout! hah
