Protege 5 brake & headlights & Engine starters?

Hey,

Anyways I have a 2003 Protege 5 Wagon 5(SPEED),143,000KM High-way driving.

I would love to hear from you on these question I have,

Brake, Is there performance Brake systems out there? if so where? sites?

Headlights, Does anyone out there have one headlight also going out on them?

ARE THERE ANY CUSTOM HEADLIGHTS I CAN BUY?

Engine Starter, do they work for 5 SPEEDS>?

protegegarage.com has most of the big brake kits and aftermarket pads. As for headlights, there really aren't really anything aftermarket but you can check there and corksport.com for tail lights.

as long as you dont park your car in gear you wil be fine.. I always park mine out of gear with the e-brake on... My car has been hit before (no not my p5) and the practice of parking it out of gear saved it from ruining the tranny.

There are tons of brake upgrades. Check www.protegegarage.com and www.corksport.com.

For the headlights, check the wiring on the headlights, the harness may have melted from aftermarket bulbs that are too high voltage.

Blacked out headlights have just appeared on ebay, but are expensive ($450). They are cheaper than getting CDM ($600) but still pricey. You can black them out yourself, check the how-to section for a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Remote starts do work for 5 speeds but they are not safe for the most part. If you leave your car in gear, it will jump and possible hit something. DEI just came out with a manual transmission safety switch for their remote starters. I believe compustar also has a manual safe remote starter.
