Ok i want some opinions here, of course my tastes will differ but i would like to see what people think. I have been looking at aftermarket rims and cant get past the fact they are so expensive. So my other option is powder coat the stock rims but i want something with some red on it. Im thinking about getting them powder coated all black but getting the ring around the spokes painted red. Thoughts on this?

nah if your going to go with stockers then I would say just spray can it black and save yourself the money of powdercoating..cuz by then the money you spent for PC and mounting and remounting the wheels it's going to cost you the same as another set of rims.

So can you get to the rim good with the tire still on it to sand it and spray it on your own? I guess that would be my only issue at that point is making sure i was able to paint everything good without removing the rim from the tire. Also do you think it would be worth it to try the red paint around the edge on my own?

I dont really need anymore responses, i found a post from 2007 about this same thing, so unless its just an opinion i think im set.

Don't used spray paint! use engine enamel it last a hell of a lot longer. Also will look better, that's what I'm doing.

Don't paint the stockers... Looks Cheap! You can get a cheaper set of Konig's or Enkei's for the price of powdercoating and actually have real rims.

^^^ I guess its all opinion but i dont mind them painted plus i cant see dropping 500+ on a set of rims just to have the black look throughout the car. @franken, I will definetly be using something that can hold up better than plain spray paint, i may also paint the calipers while i have the rims off.

I still have some sort of caliper paint i bought a long time ago when i had my prelude and it was pretty good but i have no clue what it is brand wise, just picked it up from autozone i believe.

yea i think if anything it faded a little but then again i was very lazy with sanding down the caliper first
