Post Flash Hesistation...

First of all, id like to thank everyone here for working as hard as they do for the rest of us MSP owners. I believe that if people didnt write letters, email, or call mazda then mazda would have sat on thier ass with this hesitation issue.

With that being said, i am still having the hesitation issue with my car and ive read here about a few others who are still having it. I really hate complaining about it but this is the first brand new car i have ever bought, and i want my investments to be good ones. I use my car as a daily driver and ive noticed that after the flash i now shift at 4000rpm as opposed to 3000rpm pre-flash. This concerns me a bit, i really dont want to be taxing my turbo and motor this much when im just cruising around town. Now the turbo will spool no matter what which means the life of it and possibly the engine may not last quite as long as they should.

The way i see it is that mazda didnt confront the real issue our cars were having (the air/fuel ratio), so they decided to advance the timing which doesnt actually fix anything (not to mention that it hurts the tuning potential). Its like feeding us an apatizer but not serving the main course, which is what we wanted.

I really dont know what to do, i dont want to wait in vain for mazda to actually fix this thing. All i know is that i am putting a hell of a lot of money into buying this car and its not performing to my standards at all.

Is anyone else out there in the same boat?

My car runs better post-flash..I guess there are other variables that affect different cars...

I dunno, it feels like i need to shift at 4000rpm now to have a nice smooth shift, whereas pre-flash i could do it at 3000rpm. But reguardless i stiff feel hesitation.

The flash fixed me up real good, no more stumble. :) It performs a little differently than pre flash but I watch my boost gauge and the boost still comes on at the same rpms as before the flash.

i have had the flash now for a week and notice only a slight stumble from 3000 to 3200 rpm's but i thats mostly "turbo lag" correct???

Yeah I notice it too....not enough to worry about...I would think it is lag.

my car actually peaks at 8psi on my boost guage STOCK!!! I'm really liking the new flash!

Mine does the same thing... when shifting hard from 2nd-3rd or from 3rd to 4th, if I redline the previous gear and jump to the next my boost gauge spikes to 7-8 psi and stays there until I let out on the gas. When I do and then get back in the gas the car settles back at almost 6. Only 3rd and 4th gear though... :wtf:
