Possibly FS: My MSP :(

Well, crap.

I'm trying my best not to, as I love this car, but due to my current financial situation I may have to sell my car. :'(

I'm trying to figure out what to do, and seeing what I can do to get more money, but it's not looking to well so far.

Is anyone out there interested in picking up a slick black MSP with 6800 miles on it? E-mail me at jheltsley@cox.net.

Again, this isn't 100% yet, but it's getting close. I'd rather sell the car before the crap hits the fan, instead of scrambling after.

Ok, this is looking to be more and more like a reality, unfortunately.

If anyone is interested, please let me know. I'm only asking what I need to pay off the bank... I currently owe $19,700 (approx.) So if anyone is seriously intersested in purchasing a VERY nice car from someone in need to sell, let me know ASAP.

I can take tons of pics and have webspace to show them off.

Thanks!

I really hate to see this type of thing happen but can I ask, how did you get into this situation? The only reason I ask is that I've seen three or four people on this board have to sell their car because they can't keep up with the payments...after only a few months. I'm just curious as to whether it's poor financial planning or if something recent put a strain on the finances. If it's the planning thing, not to single you out at all, hachiman, it really seems like a matter of crunching some simple income v. expense numbers. If it's un unforseen problem that's one thing, but I guess some people just don't do their homework.

Im sorry to hear youre gonna have to sell the car!! And even though you owe 19,700, which is less than sticker, i dont think you're going to get close that! I bought mine BRAND new last week for 17,800, before taxes, so about 19,100.
Dealers are offering the 1500 cashback, and or negotiating down quite a bit to sell these cars.. but good luck, and i hope you end up keeping it.

JRoof: Well, it basically comes down to the economy. I was making more than enough money to pay my bills and have some left over. Recently however, the company I work at has been crunching hours in attempts to decrease the budget. Due to that, my hours have been to approx. half of what they were. I started to re-evaluate finances and look for another job, but due to the economy, jobs aren't the easiest to come right now in my area. I'm working on a few things that may get me to the point where I can keep my car, but honestly, selling the car alleviates the most strain.

KyRaceFan: Yeah, I know. However, there are always those out there who have money and don't mind spending it. I'm hoping one of them is looking for a black MSP. :) The problem is, if I sell my car for, say $18k, I may not have enough to pay the rest of the money and get the new owner the title... So selling it is a moot point if that's the case. I might be able to swing it, but it'd suck a bit. :\

I think that you can collect partial unemployment benefits if your hours have been cut. Maybe that will help with the payments. It's worth checking into.

Hachiman.........dude, i'm so sorry
sux to loose a Cali MSP..........
even more so, since we are throwing a San Diego meet in a few weeks.

I hope u find something soon, none of us want you to loose your MSP.
Good luck man.

Hey man... I'm sorry to hear about your recent financial struggles. But come on!! Cheer up!! As bad as things may be, they could certainly be worse. (don't make me give you countless examples of just how much worse things could be!) Bottom line: Stay positve and positve things will happen. You're down on your luck now... we've all been at certain times. The true winners in life are able to stay strong through adversity. This only makes them even stronger in the end. Although you say there aren't any jobs out there, trust me, there are. My take is, if you're qualified and good at whatever it is you do... you'll find something. As a job counselor, I find that most of the people who can't find jobs tend to be either underqualified for what they're looking for or simply not trying hard enough. Depsite popular oppinon, the country is still "working". I'm not sure what field you're in, but San Diego isn't exactly Des Moines! Even if you have to get a night job as a bartender or something... afterall, when the economy goes south... people drink!

Lastly, I was down on my luck a few years ago like yourself... You have a resource there in San Diego that I'd highly recommend. Tony Robbins, in my oppinion, is the best in the business. Who knows? Maybe you have a future working for him. I hear he employs clost to 1000 people in his San Diego office alone. At the very least, get one of his books or listen to some of his audio. Since his stuff is sort've expensive, it's a catch 22 since most people who really need his help can't afford it! I just have one word for you... Kazaa!!!

Dude... don't sell your ride. You won't get nearly what it's worth and the "emotional pain" from selling your ride will only make matters worse.

Good luck man!
