Alright so i recently installed the CP-e Standback and was running 18psi. Today on my way to and from lunch i noticed that my car just wasnt pulling like it had for the last week or so since i installed the sb. Unfortunatly i do not own a boost gauge and cannot check the boost but im going to buy one tomorow. Im not sure if im experiencing boost leak or, since im living in colorado and we have had huge snowstorms recently and its freezing outside, the car just isnt performing well due to the temperatures. Ive checked the air intakes for possible snow and dirt blockage but didnt notice anything, and i also have noticed a ticking or clicking when idling...dont know if thats normal but im assuming it is. What do you guys think and is there a way i can check for boost leak without a gauge?

Just check all your hoses and clamps while you wait for your gauge. Could be in your head and could be the gas / temp. I live in florida so im not sure when they starting mixing more ethanol or whatever in the gas. Least your not like me. My IC hose is falling off and I don't have the time / extra hands to fix it. I can't hit any boost at all lol.

wow dude that blows i love boost its like a drug. but yeah i drove it really hard on my way to hockey practice last night and it seemed to be pulling just as hard as when i first installed the sb so idk what was going on at lunch. Some people tell me that because i had a friend or two in the car it slowed it down but i had my hockey bag and a bunch of jerseys in there last night...idk i think ill just wait for a gauge and check everything like you said

Yeah the extra weight makes a big difference. Also you intercooler might have been heat soaked. Could be the temp or gas too. Boosted cars are finicky especially our mazdas :).

yeah that is one of my only complaints with the car. oh well thanks man and i hope you get that IC hose replaced soon and get back in boost
