Please make me feel better about +45 offset! *updated*

I just bought 17x7 drag dr4's in a +48 offset (they should be here next week!) (wink) Did I get the right offset or am I a total idiot? All I want are freakin wheels that don't rub with 205/40/17 tires. Thoughts? Comments?

you'll be fine (2thumbs) (first)

K jus checkin cause some guys say +48 is perfect for the P5 and some say +50 is but I know of people who rub with +50 in an 18".

Thanks, I feel much better now. Thanks for the comment on the wheels. Hopefully they will look ok with my white P5 and a CF hood. I was looking at some higher end wheels but they were out of my price range.

I picked these up for $145 usd each right to my door. They weigh about 18 lbs. A little heavy but good value.

in 7" width, +48mm is plenty

maybe +50mm would rub in 18x8"

Hey I just got an update that they only come in a +45. Still fit? With no rub? Even if they are 17x7.5? I need to make a decision today so if anyone could confirm this, that would be great.

the guy at wheelguyz.com is wrong, you need +48 in 17x7.5

btw with 17x7.5 you should get 215 width

dont listen to that guy.... if they are a 7" wheel then +45 is fine, and you can even run a 225 tire (depending on brand)... but if they are a 7.5" wheel then you will rub.

pretty much for a 7.5" wheel a +48 is the max you can run... although it might work with a +45 if you run a 205 tire.... but thats iffy

So do you think a +45 will work with 17x7 wheel??? Hmnnn, what size and offset are you guys running? Sorry to ask so many questions, the wheels can't be returned so I have to make sure my decision is educated.

I just did some research, they are a 7" wide wheel.. so yes a +45 will be fine. you can run a 215-40 or a 205-40 (or similar). no rubbing
