Piece of S**T tranny

Well besides my tranny being an automatic, it is complete crap. I took my car to my mechanic today to get a noise checked out. The noise only occures when I let off the gas. Its a loud rumble noise, like two pieces of metal grinding or hitting one another. Well I just picked the car up from the shop, and my mechanic told me it was the final drive of the tranny. I had the idea in the back of my head it could be the tranny, but I was hoping that it was somthing else. Anyways I got to call mazda to see if anything can be done. Does anyone know what the warrenty is on the tranny? I bought the car used so that why I'm not quite sure. Its an 02 es by the way. Sorry if I went on to long, I'm just so pissed.

Drivetrain warranty is 5 years/50k miles on 2003s, but you may be 4 years/40k miles (they upped in 2003 IIRC), whichever comes first.

Check your owners manual; it has all the details.

Yes I am a mod *****, lol. If you think thats some big list I have, I should be recieving the wagner header this week or next week the latest and I'm currently in the middle of painting the interior.

i would recomend putting the stock parts back on, if you still have them. that way they can't blame it on them. tell them to put in a 5 speed in warranty, lol.

Well I went to mazda today, left the car there. My warrenty is up so that sucks. They just called me back. I brought it there because every time i let off the gas i heard a grinding noise. My mechanic looked at it and told me it was the final drive. Well mazda called me and told me the tranny needs to be replaced and the differential is shot. This sucks. They said by wednesday I should get the car back. Now I'm further into debt. I guess the modding will have to come to stop for awhile. UGHH, this sucks.

Sorry to vent some more, but I'm soo mad and impatient. I can't wait to midweek to get the car back. Hate being stuck in the house (pissed)

Yea I find it funny that both our trannys went around same time, we have no luck.
