Picking up 2008 NEW CX-9 Checklist

Hi All,

Have been reading a number of threads and wanted to get comment/feedback on what to remember/check when picking up the new family hauler. (I've never owned a mazda)

I'm picking up a AWD GT CX-9 with gt assist, moonroof, all weather mats, rails.

Before paying for:

1. Go over exterior for damage, scratches in paint, chrome, wheels.
2. Check interior for damage, marks, stains.
(This vehicle is coming straight from port - what should dealership do to detail car before handing over to me - I'm guessing it's wrapped in plastic for the boat ride )
3. Start engine, check horn, drive around the block to check steering.

before leaving should get:
1. two set of keys & remote fobs
2. two sets of smartcards
3. one valet key
3. owners manual, nav manual, any other manual?
4. Nav DVD - what's the current version?
5. Does the vehicle have a regular set of mats on top of the all weather mats?
6. Touch up paint bottle? (I've always recieved one in past from domestic dealers - do mazda dealers do this as well?)
7. Have cellphone match/programmed for bluetooth operation -

Anything else I should remember to check or make sure is included. Thanks for your responses!

I'd go for a real test drive - high speed on the highway, find somewhere to really test the brakes.

I'm also interested in what all comes with the new vehicle (picking ours up Friday). With GT Assist, do you get 2 smartcards and two sets of keys and fobs?

Picked up ours 1 month ago.

We only got 2 smart keys.

I don't see how you can get 2 sets of them, without paying ($500)

we opted for the key insurance/warrenty. Because anytime you lose 1 smart key, you need to bring the other old key into dealer and they issue you 2 NEW keys.

Like when you need to get keys replaced at a hotel
