I recently did a rebuild on my head and replaced a bunch of other things while I was in there. One of those things was the pcv valve, twice! After the build was done, I was still getting a bit of smoke at start up. I found that the pcv valve was letting some oil by, so I cleaned everything and bought a new pcv valve and, wallah, no more smoke. Until today. I know that I could install a catch can and that would get rid of the smoke but why am I still getting oil going by the pcv valve? What would be the cause of it. Is there some kind of filter in the top of the valve cover that is letting oil up into the valve?
The last time I cleaned out the tubes from the pcv to the intake was about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I don't want to be cleaning out tubes or a catch can if I can get around it. Thanks.
