well some know and some don't, but my car has been to a few shops to try and fix and tune blah blah... It has seen 4 shops and there are still problems!?
Well I had some fun time over this past weekend. I had the privilege of completely taking off my and pulling apart my turbo kit(aside from front mount, that stayed on my car).
I had to replace, gaskets, seals, hoses, couplers, and clamps. I had an oil leak, antifreeze leak, and exhaust leak, and boost leak.
So.... It turns out my down pipe wasn't put on my car properly, my turbo was mounted to the manifold with 2 bolts instead of 4, there were holes punctured in the couplers from the pushing them in haggardly and not watching for screws, some couplers didn't have hose/t-bolt clamps, the banjo bolts for oil and antifreeze didn't have washers, my oil return line didn't have a gasket, and the turbo coolant lines were squeezed to be put on (thus puncturing holes in them).
So i got to take everything off my car, fix all the dumb stuff and put it all together. Good news though there are no more leaks!
Needless to say... work on your own car. Not only does it make you feel good when you accomplish it, but you know if it was done properly ha ha.
