p5 rear end on sedan???

I was waxing my car today and i got around to the rear bumper and started wondering about if a p5 rear end would fit on sedans...ne body seen this done??

I don't think it will because of the difference in lengths. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the p5 5 inches shorter in length?
