2k3.5 p5 ftw!
i'm mechanically inclined but learning, lets say i want to get eibach (pro's i think?) do i need these Retuned Strut asap?

i would like to lower but i dunno about how it will affect the car this winter with the salt and all..... i don't want to hurt my p5!

thanks,
matt

"linear rates up front and progressive in the rear"

so what does this mean in plain english? ;)

thanks,
matt

dosle - your stock springs are linear ie: @ any point of compression of the spring, it gives the same "force". On a progressive spring, the more the spring becomes compressed (ie: when you're cornering) the higher the spring rate is.

We designed our springs as such to give a more neutral feel for handing @ the limit. It allows the rear end to "come-out" easily so that you can maintain a better line in the corner.

alright i can understand that, i will take your springs into consideration. right now its pretty attractive as the mod is fairly inexpensive for the outcome , i plan to ride on the stocks if i do get springs, and then start saving up for the Retuned Strut kit after winter.

it would be nice to see a silver p5 with ion's so i can see the wheel gap

thanks,
matt

dosle - here are pics for you. color doesn't affect the wheel gap ;)

Thanks to haig, here are the pics :)

IcedMp5 - the Protege 5 springs are $199US + shipping (for payment via MO, CC via Paypal subject to 7% equalization charge)

Not to discourage him from buying your product, but if I were in his situation (and I am) I would buy coilovers so you can raise the car back up in the winter to prevent any problems.

KYREDP5 - our sport spec springs give 1.18" lowering F&R. We've got quite a bit of snow up here in Canada, and there've been no problems with the 1.18" lowering :)

If you're going for coil-overs, don't cheap out, get either the JIC's or TEIN's. Make sure you've got someone locally which can cornerweight balance the car after the coil-overs are on.
