Thanks guys, the reason I was inquiring was because I'm going to the Texas Heat Wave today and they usually have a lot of vendors that give good deals on screens.

the kenwood is available its a 6.5 screen touch screen youll find it in crutchfield

thats the one that i was thinking about. i dunno its priced so that you might as well buy pioneers new unit which i think i mgiht purchase

seriously, for the money and standard features, the rockford fosgate RAVDVD2 is a great unit. it's single din, but it has a built in TV tuner, dolby digital and DTS surround sound, and a 5 channel internal amp. for the internal amp, i'd only use the center output, if you have a center channel, and don't use any of the others, since they are low power.

Hey man, i have the NEW alpine 7in lcd screen with FEEDBACK screen... which means it kicks back at you when you touch the srcreen, very cool feature, and it comes with like every feature you need, i got mine for 1200 bux... cuz i got a friend that works at the shop but you could get one new for 1450, hmmm dont install urself.. its hard.

Man that kenwood is sick, but so is the price. I was trying to find some of its security features, but didn't see any.

Sounds like a dumb gimmick to me (dunno)

well its not really a gimmick, you can FEEL the screen push back at ur finger, so you dont have to look down when drivin to push the screen, cuz some touchscreens are really bad, thats all its for.

i have it, you have the kenwood security PIN. once you set that, it can't be changed, and if the unit is ever removed disconnected from the battery, you can't access any functions until the code is entered. there is a random override code for each unit that differs, but the only way to get that is to definitively give kenwood proof of ownership and then can give you a code to unlock it, and you usually need to contact where you bought it and confirm your info with them as well. i used to work for a kenwood dealer, their security is awesome on their units.
