2000 Protege 1985 CR-X
Okay, 1st I did search, but couldn't find a definitive answer. My 1.6L auto Protege has been acting up, stumbling upon acceleration, the check engine light came and went a few times, now is on steady. I borrowed my brother's scan gauge and the code reads P0000. I cleared it, and will drive a little bit, but I'm sure it will come back. I didn't see the code when I searched here;

But I found another post with something relating to the O2 sensor, but didn't have a definition of the code. Now, are there 1 or 2 O2 sensors in the 1.6 and which sensor would it be if this IS a sensor code? Any brands of O2 sensor to stay away from?

I did a google search to to no conclusion. Anyone know what a P0000 code is from a Scangauge 2, and causes drivability issues? 02 sensor, MAF, TPS? These are all things I saw in different threads but no conclusions. Kinda pricey to replcae it all.

Well, if anyone does a search for this code P0000 or POOOO , check the air hose between the MAF sensor and throttle body for cracks.

there are 2 o2 sensors, other than that i cant be much help..sorry...but my car was doing the same thing and it ended up being a misfire casued by bad sparkplugs and wires, and that ended up wrecking my catalytic converter, which made me really happy lol.

P0000 (Non MIL Code) No Self Diagnostic Failure Indicated Test Conditions & Results: Key On, or engine running, then test started and PCM determined that no failures were detected by the PCM or TCM.

did you scan it with the engine running?

I hooked up the Scan gauge with the key in the on position, but engine NOT running. P0000 code was displayed. Car was stumbling upon acceleration, CEL was on constant. When I found the hose cracked and leaking I wrapped it wit duct tape until I get a new tube or hose. No problems since. No more CEL, or drivability issues.
