- 2008 Maxda CX-9, 1986 Camaro IROC
I've had my CX-9 for a few weeks now and am really getting used to it (08 Touring FWD). This car is definitly "me", as much as a three-row car could be.
So this morning I had dropped off kid #1 at school and was pulling out of the school parking lot with #2 and #3. We passed a Maroon Saturn Outook, identical to one I test drove the same night I test drove my CX-9. I pointed it out and mentioned it to the twins "there is a car just like Daddy almost got, but I liked this one better".
Out of nowhere #2 exclaimed (with a large smile) "cause this car has 'ZOOM ZOOM'!!" That pretty much sums up why I chose it over the GM Lambdas and Toyota Higlander.
Since getting it, I have had cars full of people look at it on the road. I'm used to looks when driving my IROC, but not the kind of looks I get in a "Daily Driver". These are good stares as if to ask, "what kind of car is THAT". Do any of you get similar comments and looks while driving?
